Kinship Alliance Australia acknowledges the unceded sovereignty of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Australia on whose land we live and work. We acknowledge their continued connection to Country and cultural knowledge, and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the enduring harm caused to Aboriginal families through the Stolen Generations and the resulting over-representation of Aboriginal children in alternative care. We advocate for all kinship care families without discrimination and aim to continually develop our knowledge and act with respect to First Nations sovereignty.
