Informal kinship care
Research shows that 80-95% of all kinship care is provided on an ‘informal’ basis, that is, without statutory child protection orders. Informal kinship families are much overlooked and receive little support either financially or with casework and counselling. Kinship Care Organisations across the world are increasingly concerned about this large number of families.
